This Privacy Policy explains how SunlitPath (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile applications and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
Quick Summary
We use your data to provide learning features, community functionality, and to keep the Services secure.
Some apps may include subscriptions handled by RevenueCat and Apple/Google billing. Not all apps use the same services.
We do not sell your personal information.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to all applications and services operated by SunlitPath, including the apps listed in the “App-Specific Sections” below. Data practices can vary depending on which app you use and which features you enable (for example, community chat or subscriptions).
2. Information We Collect
A. Account Information
If you sign in using email/password, we collect your email address and an account identifier. If you use anonymous login, we create an anonymous account identifier. Authentication is handled through Firebase Authentication.
B. Learning & App Usage Data
We collect learning progress data (such as review history and spaced repetition scheduling) and app settings to provide core features like progress tracking, goals, and statistics.
C. Community Data (If You Use Community Features)
If you use friends, direct messages, rooms, or card discussions, we store the content you choose to share (messages, posts, comments) and relationship data (friend requests, blocks).
D. Microphone & Audio (If Enabled)
Some apps offer voice recording for practice. Your device will ask for microphone permission. Unless a feature explicitly uploads recordings, voice recordings are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.
E. Technical Data
We may collect limited technical information (such as app version and device/OS information) to diagnose crashes, improve stability, and maintain security.
If you make purchases, Apple or Google processes payments and may handle billing data. We do not receive your full payment information (such as credit card numbers).
5. Subscriptions & RevenueCat
Some SunlitPath apps may offer optional paid subscriptions. If enabled in a specific app, subscription management may be handled by RevenueCat, along with Apple/Google billing systems.
RevenueCat (If Used in an App)
RevenueCat helps us manage subscription status and entitlement access. RevenueCat may process identifiers such as an app user ID and purchase/receipt information to validate subscription status. Payments are processed by Apple or Google, not by us.
Some apps include community features such as friends, DMs, private rooms, and card-based discussions. Content you post (messages, comments) may be visible to other users according to the feature design (for example, in a private room).
We provide tools such as reporting and blocking. If content is reported, we may review it to enforce safety rules, prevent abuse, and protect users.
7. Data Retention
We retain your information as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. We may retain certain information longer if required for legal compliance, dispute resolution, or abuse prevention.
8. Account Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at support@sunlit-path.com. If an app includes in-app deletion controls, you may use them as well.
Deleting your account typically removes your profile and learning data. Community content (such as messages) may be removed or anonymized depending on operational and safety needs.
9. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls. However, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.
10. Children’s Privacy
Our Services are not specifically directed to children under 13. If you are under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), you may need parental consent. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete it.
11. International Transfers
We may process and store information on servers located outside your country, including through Firebase (Google Cloud). By using the Services, you consent to this processing and transfer.
12. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information. To make a request, contact support@sunlit-path.com.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last Updated” date and may provide additional notice inside the app when required.
